The blog has not been uppdated lately. Much of has to do with season holidays. However I have pulled myself together and this time I have completed two units. First we have the Danish Life Guards from 1710. Then we have the Swedish Jönköping regiment also from 1710. Both units participated in the battle of Helsingborg 1710. The battle was decisive in many ways, but the price result was that Denmark would never ever get chance to recapture the old Danish dominion of Scania. The battle was definite Danish defeat.
Danish Life Guards 1710
Finding details on Swedish units is quite easy, but the Danes have been a diffrent matter. Especially find the right flags has been tricky. The flags used for the Danes has all ben bought from Maverick Models, a company I can recommend. However being so dependent on the rather limited number of Danish flags is kind of annoying. I need a few more Danish units in order to stage at least a part of the battle of Helsingborg. Hoppfully I will find another source for the flags.
The Jönköping Regiment 1710
The miniatures in the Danish unit are from Reiver Castings. The Swedish units a miniatures from Ebor. The later is a bit of an enigma. They were produced in conjuction with so e kind of Kickstarter Campaign. An obviously succesfull one, but the output from the company has been rather limited ever since the end of this campaign. At the moment you can only buy the artillery price from their Great Norther War range( at least if you look at the webpage). These minis have been bought secondhand. Probably first owners by one of the Beckers of the Kinckstarte campaign. Hopefully the company will put the entire range out on the marker in a near future. They are actually quite good.
Great work once again! And those flags really set the unit off a treat:)
